944 s2 Belt Whine until warmed up
Hi - apologies I am new to all things porsche.
I recently bought a '91 944 s2 that has just passed 110k.
I have started to notice that when I start the car from cold - there is a very noticeable whine coming from the belts. The whine intensifies when rev'd.
After 5 minutes or so when the car is warmed up, the noise dissapears.
The belts were changed just over 1 year ago at 102K and I believe the car was serviced at 109K. I presume the belts would have been re-tensioned since they were new but i'm thinking it doesn't sound like it
Should i be worried about this whine even though it goes when warmed up?

The belts on mine were done 40k miles ago and the T-belt still whines on cold start up, although tension was recently checked ok.
In any case, check the belts' tensions asap. The balance belt loosens much in the first couple of thousand miles and it can jump a teeth or two if it gets too loose.
