Suspension front strut
I have a euro S2, 1991, and was wondering what kind of new struts I need to buy in order to renew the old ones. I realize I can cut these and buy inserts, but I am more looking into where I can get the best deal on plug and play new struts that will do the job to OEM spec, and if there are different versions that I need to be aware of?

Those are OE Boge/Sachs dampers. Looking for plug and play...go back to the OEM.
Give Jason at Paragon a call...he can hook you up with the factory dampers for about $600/pair.

Also Paragon will sell you an already-rebuilt Sachs casing with the Koni Sport insert inside so it does become plug and play, no cutting on your part. Just return the ones you take out for a core charge refund.
Price is comparable or even less than buying Sachs.
I did this a few weeks ago and the only real surprise was the cut and modify service is done to order, they don't stock them ready to go.

if you want to take things a little further than stock you could look at ground controls struts. you don't have to go full blown coil overs and camber plates, but just a firmer lower ride.
