A PCA Member, friend in Eastern Connecticut is pretty sure he has a Kurrus 944 Turbo and is trying to find someone that can positively authenticate it. As I understand it, Kurrus converted a small number of 944 Turbos for use in a Spec racing series, before the Porsche Factory did their own Spec 944 Turbo. The story goes that because they were created as race cars, most of them have been destroyed. On top of that Kurrus did some jail time for fraud from another business venture and has since passed away. So, there is VERY little reference info to confirm that it is legit. Is there anyone here that is familiar with the Cars that can provide any points of contact in New England? Thanks!
