On this picture you can seen the tensioner and the 2V marking on the tensioner. This makes it an 8V tensioner. If the belt is out of alignment it must have a different cause.

Agreed, I see the 2V. The correct sprocket for that tensioner will have a tooth face width of approx. 23mm. I believe the the 4 valve tensioner is some 5mm wider.
The 3" / 2 3/4" Lindsey silicone boot I have is black.

Frank,
The quality of your work reminds of Porsche factory restoration facility in Germany.
When I see you modify your car from original I wonder if you considered VEMS for plug n play? Its seems to me like your car is a perfect candidate, but I don't know a lot about their product.
An alternative (what I chose to run in my 944 turbo engine) is made in the city I live and is possibly the simplest standalone (you could actually tune it without a laptop). www.sdsefi.com
Not saying these are a better alternative, but my experience with piggyback ecu products hasn't been good.

I have considered VEMS. The Piggyback setup isn't on the car anymore. I've got an AugTronic ECU upgrade. A fully programmable modified stock ECU. Works like a charm!

The Evergreen Turbo's Raptor turbo is on and I've received a silicone J-boot with a 2,75" diameter for the turbo (Thank you Gage!).
Tonight I will be driving the car for the first time with the bigger turbo.
Installing the turbo required the throttle body bracket modification to get enough clearance (see LR Throttle body modification).
Will keep you posted!
And I will update this thread with pictures (soon).

In 4th gear 1 bar of boost is achieved around 3000 rpm and the turbo keeps delivering the 1 bar of boost until redline.
I have flattened the boost build-up to get a more controllable drive. Still in the process of adjusting the boost controller duty cycle to get the best boost curve.
Will share the data as soon as I am happy with the result.
This weekend I will be replacing the manual steering rack (which has some play in the rack) for a manual sports rack. After that the tuning will continue.

Really starting to enjoy the car!
The manual sports rack has been replaced with a manual sports rack without any play.
Had the car aligned (again) yesterday and the wheels force matched. The (brand new) imitation cup wheels are of a poor quality in that they are not well balanced. They did a very good job and I have never had the Porsche 944 this well balanced and aligned. Joy to drive! The 20 year old imitation cup wheels I had where of better quality (and made in Italy).
I am still on the lookout for a nice set of teledials for the 944 Turbo.
