88' Alpine White Turbo S Specs
My brother told me something about there were only 19 factory white 88' turbo S's, and i was just wondering if any one could confirm that. If that is true would it make one of these cars (original Paint Mint Condition) Worth a large amount of money. My dad is also curious about this because his 951 turbo S is original alpine white from the factory, and in very good condition. Can any one clear this up for me.. or is my brother giving me false information.

I-wana,
You may be thinking about the pearl white 86 turbos. these were some type of promotion for regional dealers and there were around 20(I think) made.

I-Wana-951,
Sorry, but the rarity (or lack of) of the white color won't have much of an impact on its value, unless you're one of the few people who happens to want an original white '88TS and have lots of bucks to spend. It's likely that white was the 3rd most common color after black and red.
I had a friend who had one of the special '86 white turbos with boxed rockers and white Fuchs wheels. Really sweet looking car.
Mine is also Zermatt silver (at least it used to be before the crappy PO repaint). Wonder where the other 34 are???

I always thought it would be cool to have a registry (say minus one digit for "theives"). It would be really cool to see what we had here.

Can anyone dig up a pie chart of the 86 Turbos and color buld numbers. I believe factory color code red, black,a nd white account for 65-70% of all 944 series cars, let alone 951s. Id like to see how many 86 graphite turbos are floating around. it was the only year on the turbo you could get it.

Heheh We have almost 20% of the silberossa's accounted for in Canada. Only 11 were imported aparently and between RPG951S we have 2 accounted for. Like Jerome said, it's only worth what someone will pay for it. Being white won't bring up the value too much.
I'm always on the look out for others, but I doubt I'll ever see another canadian one.
