Fitting indeed! Have fun.

If you'd like to find out specifically how the car started (color, options, etc.), there is a sticker in the back underneath the trunk carpet. It is directly behind the license plate.
To my knowledge, nothing unique to the Turbo S was specifically shared with a 911 model. I could be wrong however. Small hardware, trims and other bits are often shared between all models though.

Thank you again everyone for the info.
If anyone was interested, I created a post on my site with as much info and pictures as I could.
I will be devoting a section of the site to the 944 as I discover more and accomplish more work on my own 951.
You can check out the post here,

If anyone finds any errors or room for improvement let me know and I can update it.

Also if I'm not mistaking, aren't the rear brakes from the 911 and the front from the 928 S4?

Long overdue update.
A ton of progress has been completed on this car in the 5+ years I've owned it.
Short list of still to do:
Fuse panel connector that was not seated due to missing tab causing fuel pump failure and blown DME relays. (took a long time to troubleshoot this one)
Missing Tab on Fuse panel connector causing fuel pump failure and blown DME relays
New Rennbay ball joints
New to me '86 block
Replacing rod bearings and oil pick up seals and pan gasket
Refreshed engine ready to drop in
Old intermediate shaft compared to new before cutting aluminum shaft to size
Tial F38 Wastegate Install
Alignment at Mantis Autosport - Oakville Ontario
Black Momo Prototipo with leather Porsche embossed horn button
A ton of progress has been completed on this car in the 5+ years I've owned it.
- Entire fuel system replaced short of replacing the fuel tank itself - Replace Entire 944 Fuel System
- Installed adjustable fuel pressure regulator with gauge
- Installed modern Bosch injectors
- Installed Bosch 044 Fuel Pump
- 928sRUs fuel tank strainer threaded insert
- Custom built 6AN fuel hoses and fittings
- Replaced all hardlines 3/8 and 5/16 Cupro nickel
- New aluminum fuel rail on the way from Devin Lyons
- Troubleshot several electrical problems which included:
- Fuse panel connector broken under fuse panel causing fuel pump failure and DME Relays to blow (cause of most of my no-start problems)
- Backtracked POs wiring attempt to bypass dme relay forcing pump to run
- Horn not working, no continuity through intermediate shaft and plate behind steering wheel
- Replaced Reference sensors as both were damaged
- Current draw on window, trunk, sunroof circuits and anti-lock braking system
- Removed POs custom relay from passenger door to force mirrors to work which shorted out several wires
- Removed several feet of 12 AWG industrial stranded wire from under hood, dash, up A-pillar and drivers door and replaced with appropriate gauge wiring
- Ran new 12AWG wire from battery to new 044 Fuel pump relay controlled by existing wiring
- Replaced shorted out starter and alternator cables due to PO running them over the turbo downpipe with 4AWG
- Replaced main grounds with 1AWG
- Toned out stock stereo wiring to re-use
- Control arms rebuilt - Rennbay Kit
- New to me engine from John Graves to replace '89 block with low compression
- Replaced most gaskets and seals
- New ACL Rod Bearings
- New Pilot Bearing
- Replaced pressure plate (already had a spec stage 2 clutch installed)
- Rebuilt clutch fork with new pin and Oilite bushings by Markus Blaszak
- Replaced numerous cracked hoses including J-boot
- Refinished most hardware under the hood in Yellow Chromate
- Replaced intermediate shaft with custom Borgeson U-joints and aluminum splined shaft
- Replaced Lindsey Racing dual port wastegate with Tial F38mm wastegate from Frank Zappa
- Installed AEM wideband
- Full Paintjob including all jambs and engine bay
Short list of still to do:
- Tune on dyno at Mantis Autosport - Jon Dunski &* Dirk Dünschede
- Install stereo, speakers and sub
- Swap out blue clubsports wheels for satin black ROH ZR6 5-spoke wheels
- Swap out PO's silver painted interior pieces with factory dark grey
- Re-install all black interior
- Install black headliner and other interior leather/vinyl trim pieces
- Tint windows slightly
- Replace amber bumper and rear quarter panel lenses with clear then smoke lightly
- Smoke fogs and taillights
- Install satin black splitter
- Install Momo Prototipo wheel with leather Porsche embossed horn button
- Replace 4" exhaust tip with something more suitable and likely ceramic coat satin black

Wow. Great to see there are still some of us 944/951 nuts out there 😂
Awesome work. Painting is one thing I’d like to try but to afraid I’d run out steam and motivation.

Painting is a large undertaking, I wish I just sent it to a bodyshop from the get go.
Thank you, it certainly was.
Here is a much further in depth write up on this with a few before and after pictures. https://www.deancent.com/the-worst-p...4-turbo-saved/
