Default Lime Rock Sound Booth Location?

Anyone know where the sound booth is at Lime Rock? And is there just one sound meter or more than one?

Thanks Grush, but I'm looking to avoid the meters, not get more. Nice vintage kit though... I think there's an app for that now.

Never been there.

Probably ask in Race and DE section if I needed to know though.

Whatcha gonna do, turn pipe away...?

We run as close to open exhaust as you can get, and turned right to the asphalt (probably worse scenario) never had a problem at 8-10 tracks.

At Hallet and Barber, cannot even start engines before 8am (IIRC), especially Sunday.

OK Tom, you must divulge what's going on. LOL Are you taking your car there? Connecticut is a long way from CA.

I make and sell a GPS device I call the Track Nanny, which quiets the PSE exhaust on GT3/4 cars based on location. I've programmed them to work at tracks all over the world, but have never done one for Lime Rock. They apparently have an 88 db limit at Lime Rock, which is crazy low, so requires turn-away pipes and closed PSE flaps. I'm trying to get a Track Nanny set up for a Lime Rock track guy, but need to know where the sound meter is located.

Not from personal experience but from what I've been reading Connecticut PD can setup noise metering devices at any location at the track. Local clubs tend to put a meter out to catch loud cars before the police to keep up a good rapport.

I've also read that the standard location for noise testing is on the front straight; approximately 50' away with a device similar to a simple radio shack meter with the weighting setting to "A".
