Default Passenger door locked.

After resetting my window regulator on the passenger door (one was not in the channel) I closed the door and it was good until I locked the door. It now won't open no matter what I do. The door latch linkages were replaced recently and work great. Inside I disconnected the power door link (the white plastic one) and something is still jammed disabling the locking linkage. I tried the power lock switch, keys in both doors with no help. I also tried manipulating the lock linkage with a flat piece of steel stock but it's still jammed. I'm hoping anyone out there may have a solution to getting my door unlocked as I have run out of ideas. Help!

UPDATE: Since I am still unable to get the door open I have opted to open a large hole in the door card to get access to the latch/lock mechanisms {I have a replacement on order}. Still unable to figure this thing out so I also ordered a good condition latch/lock mechanism to compare the logic and hopefully get the door open without further destructive procedures. Since they're relatively cheap I considered it a better option than removing one from the drivers door.

Three days of trying everything I can I still can't seem to find the answer for getting the door to unlatch. The anti-theft panel they put in the later cars is preventing me from getting access to the outer door latch links so I'm still stuck.

I doubt if this is much help, but possibly pull the driver's side door card and use that as a template for pushing something into the door to unlock the latch?

I bought a complete latch assembly for reference but there's still the matter of the hidden links behind the anti-theft bracket.

I've been wondering if one would be able to help because of the anti-theft bracket in the window channel.

I read an article written on the same subject in the PCA magazine from some years ago. As such it says to push the big metal down-link down to release the door. Since I have found no visible access to do this in my door's current configuration I decided on a more aggressive approach: Remove (in pieces) my outer door handle. We'll see if this solves my issue in a day or two. Pics attached.

I had the same issue with my TurboS. The latch assembly was gummed up with years of road dirt. I thought i would have to take drastic action to get in and fix it but a combination of spraying oil and pushing the door inwards to relieve any seal? pressure on the latch allowes me to open the door and access the mechanism for repair. I think i must have released the handle from the door to gain access for long spray tube thingy before refitting and trying to open. Good luck..

If all else fails... break out the disc grinder. That's commitment!

Hopefully you got the door open afterwards?

It's open....finally, after all my efforts, I found a combination of manipulations that got the door open. It was pushing down on the link for the outside door opener combined with holding the lock latch fully unlocked and smacking the door open latch with a small tool {hammer} that finally unlatched the door. Final analysis is the lubricant in the outer door latch was gummed up and the trigger mechanism wouldn't release. Anyhow, it's open and I have all the replacement parts to move on. YAHOO!

Yikes! What a PITA that was. Mental note, must lubricate often.

Glad you got that door open! Nothing like the feeling of getting something like that figured out! I feel like I have to squeeze my latch pretty hard from the outside of the door. Where does a person shoot some lubricant to make that work a little easier?

Most likely it's not a lubricant issue. The down link from the outer door handle and the mechanism in the actual door handle are worn out. There's a good youtube issue online that details deals with this. It's not an easy repair but if you stick with it, you'll get it done.
