all original cars get more than modified or painted cars. rare options also get more $. Maintenance history, carfax, number of owners also matter.
ElRicardo; you need to provide much more info to determine a price but in 3 years your car will be worth 33k USD
I believe it would cost upwards of 10k to ship to Australia and then they have huge duties I believe and then your car will have steering on wrong side.

For the engine compartment, water pump, coolant tank, OPRV, valve lifters, oil cooler pipes, timing & balance shaft belts(genuine parts), tensioners, gaskets, injectors, fuel lines, etc... don't even get me started on the interior.
Still relatively cheap for a Porsche, but some parts are getting more expensive than that of 964/993s.

I wish values were at rock bottom - In those days I was young, people were giving away clean shells, rollers for $500...parts were cheap, poor high school and college students like myself (and Rock, TechnoDuck, Lorax etc etc) could afford overpowered 944 Turbos, lart was at war with the 928 guys, off topic was Bush vs Gore/Obama non stop, our street racing moderator at the time is now doing time in federal prison. He's a nice guy though, I met him a few times! We had some good characters. Those were the days. I would actually see other 951's on the road sometimes... man I'm feeling old!

Ted Wright - hell of a nice guy - never did me wrong. As a pilot I stumbled across an article mentioning him and they talked about him building his sales chops in cell phone accessories sales, selling Porsche parts in upstate NY etc I realized it was one and the same as our beloved tedwright.

As others stated above, value is utterly dependent on the car. I recently increased the guaranteed value of my 951 on my classic policy to $75k with very few questions asked - just had to send several photos showing the overall condition and expensive modifications/parts.
A year or so ago I also had a good friend offer me his very nice slate gray 993 as a straight trade. Have to admit I thought about it for a minute, though quickly realized that I absolutely love driving my 951 and the journey getting it to its current state.
BTW - I remember Special Tool... Lol.

Wow! A straight trade for a 993 would be hard to pass up, but I get it! Your 951 is amazing and I don't think I've seen another in that color. How many miles does your car have?

Special Tool is not the guy in jail - Special Tool was a guy with a claimed 540+ rwhp 944 somewhere in CT if I recall correctly. Always posting dyno runs and street runs and could be pretty confrontational at times. He came in and out of the 951 world with a bang. lol man this is a trip down memory lane.
