Original caliper refurbs in the UK seem to running at $1000+ in the UK, if some new pistons are required. So what options are there to use a later cheap Porsche caliper/disc/adapter while also fitting something bigger/better. I'm already using 18" wheels.
Thanks for the reply. I did a search on here and found info about using relatively cheap 330 or 350mm Cayenne discs with centering rings. Lindsey are selling a "big red look caliper" in their budget brake kits, so there's obviously a fairly cheap caliper already out there somewhere?
Cayenne calipers are pretty inexpensive as well. Did you get VW Tuoareg (spelling?) in UK? Those have a different front caliper (4 piston vs 6 in Cayenne) but still very capable.

Pretty sure we have the Touareg here, Do you know if there's an adapter to bolt either of those calipers to a late 944 turbo?
Blade , $400 dollars for used Audi S8 D2 calipers on us ebay , most do not have the corrosion issues we suffer from ,which are basically F50 calipers . Get some centering rings from Superman on this forum and use either 330mm or 350mm cayanne disc which are dirt cheap , £45 each or something . I had the adapters made up by Freaky Parts in uk .
I also used 750 BMW master cylinder and brake bias valve.
Hello mate, I couldn't see any of the S8 calipers on UK ebay, and when I contacted freaky parts about the adapters they were quite vague about them. I think they wanted to see the car too.
I tend to find it better to purchase from our cousins due to the more favorable weather conditions and the parts are in much better condition as a consequence so what you pay in tax you save on refurb costs

Im surprised freaky parts do not still have a drawing . I had to send spindle , caliper and disc to them but any good local machine shop should be able to sort it . Think I paid about £300 for adapters .

"Who are Duke and Pete zh in Europe"? I've been trying to get ahold of 9Products and they're not responding but I also look at what they're asking for some of the parts for the GT2/GT3 swap and the pricing seems silly. 97 Euros for ONE centering ring? Da F*CK?
I was hoping to have my conversion done by August but doesn't look like that's going to happen now. This is incredibly frustrating and I'm surprised that there aren't more suppliers offering adapters for this upgrade as opposed to the unreasonably expensive Big Red upgrade.
I had to cancel my order my order with 9products and and order their parts though Design911, they are useless at sending orders.
If you want to stick with M030, 993 C2 front calipers are a direct swap, I picked up some cheaper than any of the 944/928 calipers I could find.
I don't have M030 to begin with. Mine is a standard 88 951. Design911 isn't listing the front adapters currently, only the rears. It's been a headache trying to have an upgrade path to beyond Big Reds. Seems like it would be a desirable upgrade especially considering how pricey Big Reds are now.
