Best MAF kit on the market
For the ones that have a MAF conversion kit, which one did you get and why? I’m only aware of the kit by Lindsey and the one by vitesse, are there any other besides those? I’m leaning towards the vitesse more right now.

I've purchased several things from John (@Vitesse) over the years and believe he will send you an invoice through/from Zelle, which you can open and pay. I would not worry about getting screwed by Vitesse, if that's what you mean.

A few years back I was planning to visit my mother in the US. I contacted Vitesse in advance, and asked if I could pay by credit card. And have the kit shipped to my mothers US address, for me to collect when I was there. He refused, just my experience.

Credit card payment can be reversed and probably somebody played that trick on them so there is that.

I'm sure it was nothing personal but that proposed arrangement would appear to be a scam for many retailers.

The card payment would have been made a month or two in advance. I visited my mother in the US every summer, and paid with my credit card many times to buy things, without issue. Another detail was Vitesse wanted quite a premium to load 2.5 and 3.0 maps. I think back then Joshua didn't charge any extra. As for the product, I know users in the UK have been happy with it. I just didn't appreciate the take it or leave it attitude.

The seller creates the term of the sale. John has his reasons for for his terms.

As I was buying from overseas I had to be comfortable with the transaction. When I considered potential future repair costs for the DME and KLR, it made sense to replace them with a standalone ECU. Incidentally for around the same price.as Vitesse charged.

When I was living in Germany, I found a stealth MAF by Tom Voigt.

The kit was plug and play. I also bought his chipset.
Been running it trouble free.
no affiliation.

The economics of Standalone make sense if you're either planning to make further mods in future or if your DME / KLR fails & you don't fancy rolling the the dice on a salvage unit.
Standalone with MAP is a proper fix, I've always felt MAF is a Band-Aid solution:

I read years ago that most of the gains from a MAF kit, come from removing the flap in the AFM, and the restrictive standard air intake. And Ford were using MAP on the Sierra Cosworth nearly 40 years ago.
