URGENT!!!
I found what seems to be a ridiculously priced 944 turbo. I'm going to look at it this Saturday and I want to know EVERYTHING to check for to see if it is a good car. So if you guys could start a list of things to check for that would be awesome.

Few things are more expensive than a cheap Porsche. Pay for an inspection by an independent mechanic who really knows these cars. Do not use the owner's mechanic.

Well this has turned out to be a very holy thread
I wouldn't recommend looking over the car just yourself. Take it to a Porsche dealership or specialist and get a full PPI done. Tell them that if the car checks out, do a leakdown on it and make sure the motor is still holding good compression and such.

Hi allstar_02,
If you are in the San Jose area, you can bring the car to Tony @ Heyer Performance, Mountain View (www.heyerperformance.com) for a PPI. A PPI is simply a MUST and not an option in your case.
I just came back from Tony's shop a couple hours ago. My 87 Diamond Blue 951 is currently parked in his shop, if you go there you will see my 951 too.
Tony knows inside out of the 951, his PPI will tell you everything you need to know about this 951 you are trying to buy.
With best regards,
- Alex (87 DB 951, 00 AS 986S)

allstar_02, any update on this? Did you get to see it and test drive the car? I wanted to look at the car too but got tied up with our 951 project on Saturday.

above is a link to the ad. I emailed the person a couple of times. They seem very nice. I decided not to buy or even look at it. The price scares me and I'm gonna wait for a "perfect" 951.
