Default Guitar Amp

Im an avid guiar player an at long stop lights I would like to play guitar. So I was thinking of installing an amp that measures 6 in.x 2 ft. x 2 in. (d x l x h). I was curious as to whats behind the dash of the passenger side (right above the glove box). Thats where I was thinking of installing it. Could somebody tell me if it would fit?

Hey that's a great idea. I'm an avid cook, maybe I should install a Hibachi in the console so i can whip up some nourishing snacks while waiting at the rail x-ing. You must be pretty thin to play a guitar sitting behind the wheel.

Im serious about this. My cousin also frequently rides in he car with me and he would play while im driving. I just want to know if there is enough space behind the passenger side dash above the glove box.

One other idea is to get a car stereo that has a line input. Then just use a preamp thats battery powered. Play thru your car stereo.
I did this once upon a younger time.

Or just toss the amp in those useless back seats, no cutting required.
Good luck,
Jason

Why would you want to butcher the dash where there's no room when you can install something in the back of the car or just tie into the stereo? Or just leave an amp in the back of the car. And where exactly does the guitar neck go, in front of you?

Na, you can't be serious...

There's plenty of room back there if you remove all of the useless junk. Everything on that side of the car is non-functional and was installed to help offset the drivers weight and allow for future factory design changes. No need to spens a lot of time unbolting stuff. Pull out the glove box assy, grab a few handfulls of stuff and just yank. Just be careful not to hit yourself in the head with the 2 silver metal boxes that will come out. If things don't come out easily, put your feet on the dash for leverage.

If you remove the front aluminum bumper, you can hook the amp up to a PA and mount it in front of the car like a parade float. How cool would you be then???? Rock on Lenny.
