so this wiring diagram is all ive found? its a great diagram and i think its giong to help me a ton. few questions however
why is there a green and a black wire that both run to the ground?
also the last black wire coming from the avcr is plugging into the dme some how? i understand that the other tap into those wires coming from the ecu but what is that last one doing?

The two grounds are to ensure that the unit has a good solid grounding point, so that the signals from the different sensors are interpretted correctly. These units should go to two separate, clean chassis points.

It's been a while, but I believe that the wire from the ECU is for RPM.

Connect the AVC-R white speed signal wire to the dark blue/red wire attached to the inboard instrument panel connector (Connector C).

Connect the AVC-R red wire to switched power.

Connect the AVC-R purple wire to the DME terminal 21 green/black wire. Not to the terminal 21 green wire.

Connect the AVC-R gray wire to the KLR terminal 22 wire.

Connect the AVC-R orange wire as shown in the installation manual, if scramble is desired.

I installed in a race car so I don't know whether you can unclip the connector from under the dashboard. It is probably safest to pull the instrument cluster.
