Default WTB Late Style Crossover

Looking for a late 2 piece crossover in good shape with no broken welds.

While on the subject, anyone ever remove the heat shields and the outer tube?

I have the one from my car I would like to sell. I had to use the short pipe that goes to the waste gate with my SFR crossover if that affects what you need. You can PM me an offer if you are interested.

Cool. I wrapped my old one but didn't datalog at that point. I'm going to install a thermocouple, pressure sensor, and WB O2 along with the narrowband so I can try and get spool up better. I like my 27/8, but it is laggy.

I installed the bung for the O2 and bung for the thermocouple in my crossover then noticed a nasty crack on the weld at the turbo and also at the junction for the wastgate tube. I think I'll strip this one of the shields and outer pipe for pratice.

Perry - you did not put the wideband bung in the crossover, did you?

I have a BMW F1 pic from your site as screensaver, by the way.

Gald you enjoy the pic. My buddy took them... pretty nice eh?

Yup, put the sensor in the crossover, real close to the stock O2 port. Why?

Its better in the downpipe or cat pipe, its cooler back there. Tech edge explains this on their website.

"On turbocharged engines the UEGO sensor must be installed after the turbo charger, if not, the pressure differential will greatly effect the accuracy of the unit"

after searching on google for wideband location. You should consider moving it!

Really... I figured that it woud work just fine next to the factory O2 since they operate in the same fashion. I'll pop it in the downpipe. Thanks guys!

Also the crossover is pressurized much higher than the downpipe. The pressure affects a WBO2 much more than a Narrow band o2.

I actually placed my wbo2 sensor in the cat pipe right before the cat, right after it bends under the car. It is very accesible and places the sensor at a downward angle which is highly recommended to keep water from condesing inside the sensor when the engine is turned off.
