Default i have no idle screw!

mikeaagesen from here on the board was over at my place today as i was doing my vacuum lines, and we noticed that i have no idle screw - i just have a rubber plug in its place. now that i have replaced all my vacuum lines, could that cause a problem? what are the consequences of not having any air coming in thru the throttle screw?

My car would start, idle very low (200rpms), hesitate and die when i forgot to install the idle screw.

I think that's got to be it Erik. Maybe when you took it out it didn't seal its way back in as it was before? BTW, did you end up finding that injector thing?

Somebody probably adjusted your idle with the throttle stop screw instead of the idle control screw. If you can not get the car to almost turn off when you turn the idle screw all the way in the butterfly in the throttle body is probably open to far and will need to be adjusted.

right now, the butterfly is fully closed. it has no screw at all, just a rubber thing jammed in it.
