Default Got some new wheels today...

Found a great deal at our local swap meet, a set of C2 Turbo wheels for $500 with tires. Granted they are only 17x7 front and 17x8 rear, but they'll work just fine for the street. Tires are a little worn, but they'll last for a while until I can get some new ones. Not perfect, but very nice for the price and great for a daily driver.

PS, if anyone needs a 17x7 of this style, I got a spare with the set. Shoot me an email with an offer if you want it. It's got some scuffing on the edge and isn't perfect, but it's in decent shape otherwise:

Nice. I really love the Cup 1 look.

I want 4 of those 8" ones (and a pair of 9"). I have a set of 9" rears and 7" fronts with track tyres on the car and I want to run 8's on the front and make another set for road tyres to use in the rain.

Yeah, it was a great deal (good thing I got there first thing, there were about 3-4 people that asked about them right after I told him I'd take them). I really like them on the car even better than I thought they would. They just look much better than the stock wheels. Of course, I'll keep the stockers for track use since they already have RA-1s on them. I'm also going to keep an eye out for a pair of these in 17x9, and if I can find them then I'll switch over the 8s on the front and run the 9s on the rear. Of course, I can afford to be patient since these work well for street use (took a nice test drive last night).

Wow nice purchase. Those look fantastic on your red 951. You got a great deal as those were definitely underpriced. They look very period correct. I was also looking for a set of cup wheels for my car but couldn't find any that were reasonably priced.

Last month I found a great deal on a set of OEM BBS 10-spokes off a 2002 996 Carrera. They are also 17x7 and 17x9 and came with practically brand new Pirelli P-Zero Rossos. The wheels were so clean you could eat off of the inner rims. They were essentially brand new and although a bit more modern than i'd like, i'm happy.

Nice wheels guys. oi-punx, I really thought I would have liked those 10 spokes better, but now that I've seen the C2 on mine and the 10 spokes on yours, I do have to say that the C2 wheels do look more "period" correct. I honestly think I like them better than the Cup wheels which what I was really looking for.

screw period correct and give me a set of Fiske Fm-10's or some HRE's 540's. I'll take them in 18x8.5 and 18x10. Go ahead and roll the fenders and get a nice 315 under the rear.

I like all the wheels pictured here. I really like the chrome cups.

Well yeah, but some of us can't afford Fikse or HREs.

What do you mean Cup wheels? The are Cup wheels. Cup 1 to be precise.

Nice wheels! I have the same in 16x7 & 16x9; also picked them up for a song!

A buddy at the local dealership let me know that some lady with a 911 ordered in some new 18" wheels and she didn't want the old ones. The dealership didn't want them either, but I DID!!!!
