Default my 968 conversion project.**project complete**

Well I thought it was time to start posting pics of the car and its progress. I will update this thread as new pics become available as well as info and videos.

Right now he is busy making the seam which we will use to mount the bumper into the side. Their is ALOT of cutting and molding involved. All in all I would say he will have 100hrs in this project all on my bill ofcourse . Im happy with the bumper I bought and would recomend germanauto dismantlers to anyone. Except you will have to stay on them to make sure you products get shipped. My bumper/re bar/lights/ect all arrived a little later than I was promised. but, thats okay.

Now onto the good stuff. He is going to make platforms inside the hatch the car for more support as well as making it look as clean and stockish as possible. I have to say the stock wing does look pretty good with the 968 bumper but, I think I want a 968 wing anyways. I will also prolly order 968 side skirts to match as well as 968 mirrors.

Then lastly will be the cf splitter and vented nose. The outside will finally be complete. Then my project will move onto bigger turbo ect.

My custome stainless lindsey exhaust for the new bumper hasent arrived yet. Dave will be shipping that this next monday so look for some more updated pics begining next week. Heres some of the shots so far.

Feel free to post up questions. I would like to use this thread to really document this process and what exactly it takes to get it done correctly. I will answer or get answers as best I can.

That is going to look awesome, John. I would love to have a 968 rear on a 951. There are some pictures floating around of a black car that has it done. It looks simply amazing.

A 968 rear on the 951 looks great. I have seen couple of race cars with this setup, very nice. Good work John.

That is going to look awesome, Im a huge fan of the 968 rear. Not so much of the front. Pair this with mirrors, handles, wing, skirts and you are going to have an amazing looking car.

Heres the black car previously mentioned: (click on the links, didnt want to disrupt his thread with other pics)

Looks good John!

Does anyone have any pictures of the airflow over the 951 and 968? Would be interesting to see how the airflow looks.

John,

Nice project. Was he able to fit the 968 bumper shocks into your car?
