Why not make your own with copper tubing? It costs ~$5 per lineal foot at Home Depot, and copper conducts heat TWICE as well as aluminum. By filling it with sand, it could probably be easily curved or bent to correct shape without buckling, in a standard pipe bending machine at a muffler shop. Just a thought: Flame away.

Yes, copper does weigh more. But then, in absolute terms, it would only amount for a few ounces more per car. OTOH, it would conduct a lot more heat out of the flow.

of course now they use aluminum for radiators instead of copper so maybe aluminum disipates more heat per lb than copper. I dunno.
It does sound like a feasable Idea though. Although another issue could be that if the copper is not thick enough, it could deform from the hoseclamps and you could get a boost leak. Just trying to think it through.

No need to spend big bucks on intercooler piping that was "made for that car".
Ok, maybe that's reserved for people who'd rather spend the money instead of getting some hands on experience.
You can piece together an intercooler pipe kit in thousands of different combinations with aluminum piping from these guys: http://www.globaltecheng.com/Product...terLineRadius=

Well, if any of you purchase pipes there, post the exact order and how it fit. I wouldn't mind doing this, but I don't want to be the first, I'd like to go into it knowing exactly what to order.
