Default *OFFICIAL* 3" exhaust muffler clip thread

As time goes on just about everyone goes through a lengthy search/posting process when trying to select the right muffler for the 3" exhaust, I know I did. Vids of starting, WOT, and decel will really help to create a "big picture".

Be sure to include the exh mfgr, downpipe size, CAT or not, muffler model, and any other suppresors/second mufflers you have added.

If you have the ability to convert a file into an mpg to help folks post, please offer.

From my post on 07/01/2006, relisted here for reference.

"I have been prompted to record a few videos in light of several recent posts regarding aftermarket exhaust systems for our cars.

The exhaust is stock from the factory cat on up. From the cat back is a straight through SFR unit with Borla XR-1 muffler. The intake is the ProMax SciVision MAF kit using the stock airbox and fender ducting."

I'm guessing the use of the word "clip" instead of "video" or "sound." Of course, back in 2006, the internet was still in black and white, so maybe it was lack of imagination, too.

Personally, I very much support the concept of the thread. But, I'm not crazy about promoting a thread/signature used to express political beliefs on a car site. Of course, I'm doing that right now by responding. Losing.

Would be happy to post a sound clip or video of my Lindsay 3" cat-less exhaust otherwise.

It's not a turbo, but this clip shows what my 924S sounded like with a 3" exhaust (w/ MSDS headers, a high-flow cat, and a Magnaflow muffler)

In place of the cat, did you use the Dynomax bullet resonator?

Like with the test pipe, I want spool to stay as unresticted as possible.

Missed reading on Summit, it does say straight through, so should be the remedy.

Cured the drone and no spool issues
