Default HELP** COOLANT LEAK (LITTLE PLASTIC PIECE)

Im in the middle of a project and sure enough a coolant leak. I thought it was the upper radiator hose so this morning I pulled it off in hopes to have the project done in an hour Woops!
What it actually is is the little plastic piece that screws into the radiator above the radiator hose. Now how the heck can I get this little broken part out??? I really dont want to remove the radiator, anyone have some suggestions?

Thanks guys

A small bolt extractor might be able to get that out....either that or see if you can thread a smaller bolt into the center of that fitting (interference fit), use some superglue and see if you can back it out that way...

OK, well i called my dad and was complaining about all this. He has his griffin radiator from the last group buy still sitting in the garage. Soooo i am going to take it off his hands for him! That hopefully will help out with some of this florida heat and start with a nice clean radiator!

BTW. Does the radiator come out the top or the bottom.

Also do the fans have to be off to remove/ install the radiator??

You can probably remove it with a razor blade too. I've done that for the drain plug when I broke it.

Or you could heat up a flat head screwdriver and push it in the screw to melt a little grove so you can unscrew it once it cools.

I like the idea! Will try it out as I will probably be selling this radiator on ebay or something!

Radiator comes out towards the engine. Fan shroud, coolant lines and some other stiff has to come out. MIght want to just fix it as it sits. One thing I have learned the hard way is don't take your 951 apart until you have no choice. Just drive it and enjoy it. Who knows what other problems you could run into. Take my word for it.

Sage advice that should probably be added to the 944 FAQ...

I thought that bracket at the bottom is slid in from the top and then bolted from underneath. How do you get the bottom bracket out without removing the radiator in the first place?

Any info for removing will be appreciated guys. And those of you who have installed the griffin radiator are welcome to chime in! I know ill need a few new bolts and drain plug for the install...
I would probably have it out exept it started to pour on me.

BTW Will the oil cooler line need to be moved out of the way to get the radiator out. It looks like it is right in the way

I never had to remove the oil cooler line but I obviously don't know how the guys normally remove the radiator so IDK.
