The rev limiter goes to 7K, but on the dyno we shut it down at 6500 or so. Watching your engine scream on the dyno past 6000 is a tad scary.

I agree with the tq swing, but when I was building my other 951, the tq spike would flatten as the turbos got bigger. We only hit 340 wheel hp and 360tq on my other 951S. This was with a Powerhaus K27/6, Huntley Racing Arc II, injectors and other stuff. That car was sold to Jeff in LA, and there is a BADASS LR 3.0 going in with stand alone as we speak. This motor and associated stuff cost over 25K. I pray for Jeff that it turns out to be everything he expects.

I just called the dyno shop and if they saved the other runs, I'll post them also. We ran at 18psi, 20psi, and 22psi. I wanted to go more, but stopped when I saw the 427 at the wheels. There was no pinging, just a black poof at 6K out of the exhaust. The rice guys thought it sounded healthy and could have gone more. Yeah, it's not their engine.

They had a drag VTEC run just prior to mine that put down 800+ at the FRONT wheels! The intercooler is solid and ice cold water pumps through it from a ice box in the passenger seat. This thing runs in the nines and has a stock bottom end.

Gotta love turbo's.

George

His motor is so pretty, I hate to see it go into the car. Piece of art on the stand.

LOL, yea, I know what you mean.

The first time I dynoed my car I couldn't belive how loud it was and the turbo spooling as well.

Also, I have WG dumped to atm.

The guys in the shop were like "uh, you could have warned us it would be that loud" Said, sorry, didn't know myself

But that turbo at 6K certainly did sound like a jet taking off.

Some blow by or a rich spot?

Would love to see some EGT numbers.

Maybe a stock block/crank, but I will bet you that it wasn't the stock rods/pistons...

I said bottom. This would be the crank bearings etc. The rods and pistons were not. Stock intake and head though, which I find amazing.

Ah, when I hear 'bottom-end' I usually think short-block...
Yeah the Honda DOHC heads are impressive - suprised they stuck with a stock intake though.

It was something about the class they run. The car was just a shell. The headers on that horzintal motor with that big *** turbo sticking out looks VERY easy to work on. It's like it's sitting on a stand in front of you. They reminded me that it only goes STRAIGHT and has no brakes. It only costs 3K in parts to get those motors up to 350+ wheel hp. Problem is EVERYTHING else on the car is designed for a commuter car.

They really liked our cars.

I installed mine last night ,and I just finnished getting the car dialed in.WOW idle is way better an the transition from part to full throttle is great. My butt says it makes about 20 more hp but we will see in about a week .Spool up is coming in about 200 rpm earlier. All in all these are way better than my LR chips were huge 3rd gear wheel spin now this thing is nasty.
