100lbs of gravel in the back, snow tires, and LSD and you can go anywhere! If not, then donuts are fun too?

I had open in my 924S now its got a LSD box in it. I can tell you that without a doubt LSD is better in the snow. Sure, it will kick sideways as both wheels are spinning for traction and that might scare some people but its really nice if you don't want to get stuck.

LOL I cannot go anywhere in my car either... I would have thought my LSD would help, but it is sooo sketch! I got 3/4 up my street yesterday then did backwards 360's all the way back down the hill (kind of on purpose). But I definitely go sideways any time it snows - thank god my roommates are understanding and drive my *** anywhere in the winter.

I really dont understand how you guys cannot get around. I've NEVER had an issue in winter, and I live in WNY where winter is half the year!

Factory clutch type LSDs are fine in the snow. The torque biasing/quaife type may exibit some odd behavior when its real slippery (ice).

Likely you have a tire issue (not an all weather/snow tread, and too wide for the weight of the car).

I'm with you, Geoff. I had a 944 that I used for 3 years in the winter (with snow tires). Then I got the Turbo S, and after the first dusting of snow, I was stuck in my flat driveway. LSD plus wide performance tires just don't work!

Phonies won't fit on a turbo S... (unless they're the magnesium cup ones...) It's really almost cheaper to just get a 924S... Wait, that's what Geoff has!
