Limited slip differential
in the snow... is by far, the absolute most difficult time I've had controlling a car. EVER. took me 10 attempts to put the car on the right side of the driveway... and I kept going sideways... at like, 1/2 mile per hour. I even put down snow melt and cleaned off the other cars before attempting!

This particular snow is very icy. I slipped and whacke dmyself badly thisi morning walking down my drive. It just looked wet.
I think I got you beat though, I had to drive home in it last night on drag radials

?
The LSD in my 951 was the only way I'd drive it in the snow. I found it very sure footed in hard pack or ice when I lived @ 7,000 feet.
I might be able to scrounge up a nice open diff unit if you want to trade

Naw. I've got the 924. it's great in the snow with the open diff. I can't get the turbo moving. it's crazy!
might also have something to do with the snow tires on the 924...

I totally agree, I drove my S2 on pirelli snowsports and it was constantly sideways with my LSD. Driving up a small grade would put me sideways. Giving a bit too much gas would put me sideways. I was however on 225-40-18 fronts and 265-35-18 rears, perhaps a tad too wide...

thats why i love my 4wd 4.0 ohv 5spd posi rear Ranger. She is a beast in snow, With the set of AT tires on her she can go pretty much through anything that wisconsin can throw at her. I bought the truck after 7 years of trying to drive lowered sports car in this weather.
