Default Is John Milledge still in business?

Sent him a few mails recently and not received any answers.
I noted the website has been updated with his California address
Anybody made contact with him recently?

Spoke with him a couple weeks back about an engine project I'm working on. He was hugely helpful and actually emailed me the "blueprints" for what he feels I'd need in an engine to reach my power goals.

He's slowed down a bit after he moved to the West Coast but yes, still in business.

I get the feeling from previous Rennlist posts that he likes to deal with people he's already dealt with and an email from across the pond will not likely get any response. Does the new website have a contact phone?

According to John he is retired. Retired as in no new work and he is selective with his time on past projects. He sold a lot of his equipment and has no shop. "We" talk to him relatively often and if you need a cam or somethng I can find out what he will do. He did not grind the cams himself so they are still "available" but they need to go through him. I spoke to the guy that actually grinds the cams today about some 911 cams and will speak to him on Monday. I can ask if he knows what can be done about purchasing a Milledge cam.

Paul,

I have spoken with John and exchanged emails in the past. Just wondered if he had given up as he has always responded quite quickly. He is a top bloke!

He's been showing up at some of the PCA-San Diego time trials over the last year or so...great to pick his brain - there's a lot of knowledge there.

Jon Milledge makes very fast race cars. First one I saw was at LRP. Really fast cars were turning 59 sec to 1:05 laps back before the track was repaved.

This car was turning low 50 sec laps smooth as butter. Driven by Wodie Weiss.

Jon's web site is down and he has a new email address. Like mentioned previously in this thread, he is attending only to certain previous clients and the such. Stay tuned on the camshaft availability front, for there has been some very recent developments.

you say very recent devlopments ? I know i am new here but i am not new to racing .. just somwhat new to hauling a bit of extra power out of my day to day 83' 944 (been in my family since early 1983) either way i have tinkered a little and have made the car very fun .. but obviously not like my 997 C4S but i still would like to throw a JM cam at the old girl and see what happens ... if it is avail or there is any news on a "new" grind then i am in !

you will be seeing a lot more of me around here .. i have always been P man but i have been tinkering with Nissan Skylines now for the last 7 or 8 years and prior to that was my high school honda days lol actually had a lot of fun at it as it was a little before the rice and the furious days.. But now my two man toys are Porsches and will be from now till i die .. ( not these two but Porsches in general )

Best thing to do would be to get a late ECU and a Miller Performance Cars MAF conversion with WAR chip - there's 10 rwhp right there. And the WAR chip will allow you to fine tune the car for the new cam.
