They were designed for a high hp engine (700+hp)
They weigh 665 gms.

man, you're going to make me go out in the garage and get a photo of my Mahle box and rods. Those are big aren't they, next to a 2.5 piston. I got my KEP in yesterday, the spare 88 block should be here by Friday and then all hell breaks loose for the 2.8L. Keep the photos coming.
