blown head gasket
This afternoon when i was driving my 1989 turbo s track car I blew up the head gasket .this was installed only a few months ago and the car has run 6hours sinds ,I run 0.9 bar of boost and the only mods to the car are the lindsey racing boost enhancer and ecu chip + maf kit.the gasket i instaled was a wide fire ring type (victor/reins).Can anyone give me a reason why this ocured so soon or explain what i have done wrong ???

You don't have an MAF chip, you have a signal modified AFM chip that does not properly convey air mass to your DME for timing modification under high load conditions.
There must be hundreds of posts on this forum written by myself, fast951, TT and a few others that I can't recall right now.

By the way, are you using teh fatcory boost gauge, or do you have an aftermarket gauge? The factory gauge is *not* the last word in accuracy. Given the mods you listed (and if you really want help, be a bit more specific, knowing who's chips and who's MAF kit would help a lot), I am guessing you overboosted and went lean.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'd suggest you talk with John at Vitesse. Its top notch service and product.

What do you value more? Unblown head gaskets, or a little more speed at the end of a straight? Anyone can floor it in a straight, but it's far more rewarding to find speed in a corner. I lost my boost enhancer last year, and I'm not missing it.
