Default Garage ****

Hello all,

Decided to turn my double garage into a triple garage with a difference. Found some old shop front glass doors at a bargain price, roughly 20ft long and about 10ft high.

Day 1 construction starts, the old double garage wall is knocked down to make way for the extension.

With the wall safely down and things looking a bit messy, the new back wall with a large top window has now nearing completion. The space has really opened up and I cant wait to fill it with more cars.

Two of my cars safely tucked up in the background and under cover, the ceiling finally goes in and things are starting to take shape.

The moment I have been waiting for, glass doors finally getting hung up and things really starting to look good. Still a lot of building dust cant wait to get things cleaned up

Finally construction is over, posters are all up, fresh paint on the walls and the my 944 turbo cup and 911 3.2 Carrera have a new home. Cant wait for the 911 RSR Jagermiefler car to come home and the turbo cup is next for the concourse treatment with a full race car restoration planned.

My wife says it looks like a Xmas tree with all the decorations but I think it looks fantastic and now I get to see the cars every time I walk out the house.

Hope you all enjoy.

Looks great, Me I have not even a 1 car garage, I would settle for a 1 car, but if you need to have a 3 car, why not add some windows...

thats quite the slope on the slab where the 944 sits. did you built it like that.... if i was you. i would raise the windows to allow for any water or spills to run outside.

thanks for nice comments guys, much appreciated. It does slope a bit were the turbo cup sits as we had to dig the floor down a bit as the glass doors were too tall, thought the builder made it level but as you can see not 100%.

I have a Jagermiefler RSR replica to go in there as well and plan to restore the turbo cup with full race graphics and to concourse condition early next year

Johnny,
I am guessing the Hillcrest area of Natal? Love the garage, but where is the workshop?

Very nice. Love the glass and brick combo.

This is a REALLY old picture. I am working on this set up. 4.5 car. (I actually have 3 motorcycles and 4 cars including a 1 ton crew cab truck in here).

Stained Concrete floors, need to finish the rest.

Hello BGA9512, Hillcrest is indead an area of Natal, how did you know that?

No workshop, I am dangerous with tools, my mechanic only lets me make the coffee. I have another garage for all the junk and a great spares room full of parts which I sell trade and buy for fun. Very fortunate to have the space.

Nice garage Cole

From the license tags on the cars. I spent the first 25 years of my life in SA.
