We are only about a full week into the build; my race mechanic has a day job so we only work weekends.

One weekend to remove the old motor & get the car to the paint shop to get engine bay painted.

One weekend to remove LS1 heads & get to machine shop for valve job & spring replacement, install new cam & reassemble LS1 & remove 944 dash, ignition wiring harness & all non essential wiring in dash & engine bay.(Its a easy 80lbs of wiring harness & a relay box)

One day to install new motor mounts, bell housing & install LS1 & headers.

I am staying with the manual brake setup for now we re drilled the pedal. I may go to a hydra boost later if this isn’t adequate. Thanks for the tip on the clutch M/C Where did you source it from? Do you have a part number?

The clutch M/C is a wilwood piece, i forget the part number. Check on 944hybrids.forumotion.com, there's a whole thread on it in the "general" section. xschop is also making an adapter for the clutch pedals so it's pretty much a bolt-in affair.

If thats the RH oil pan, make sure shes sealed up nice and tight cuz they leak like crazy!
(I know first hand, lol)

I drilled and tapped my motor between the oil connections on the pan so i could put a bolt in there. I haven't had leaking problems.
RH claimed that they fixed that issue with a "bridge" (which i can see in the pictures), but if you ask me it still doesn't make up for the fact that their pan is a thinner steel and the stock unit is a considerably more rigid cast aluminum... I used "The Right Stuff" (excellent gasket maker!!) on both sides of a new pan gasket.

Thats actually a great idea. I havent had any issues after the second sealing of the oil pan but if i end up having an issue again (which hopefully I wont), I will have to try your solution.

Thanks for the heads up my mechanic put a ton of Indian head gasket schallac on the pan. I was actually afraid you guys would see it on the pan & give me **** for it. I guess that’s why he has an ASE certification & I don’t. I wanted it nice & neat he wanted it not to leak!

Sorry to hear about the crappy weather. I hate to run it in but, we are having a DE this weekend here is south Texas.
