89 944 S2 x 2
I bought this car today, tranny shifts smooth the driver seat is bad, runs strong but my surprise was the 220 code I lifted the car and kaboom both tires spin in the same direction. Do I part or do not part. Are S2 heads desirable, about the 3L block?
Update just bought another 89 944 S2

Oooh - that is a pretty one. I think you could more money out of it whole! Nice score on the LSD.
Here is what I picked up today - not nearly as nice! https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...ght-today.html

Josh, there is a lot of good parts on that car, throw one of S's engine there and you'll have a race car.
how much does a S2 sell for? this is my 2nd S2 out of 30+ 951's

about 10% less than a 968 in the same condition. For a good one I would expect to pay $10k+, one that's got missing records or some issues will go down in price from there.

How many miles are on it and has it been painted? Anything broken - AC, PS, door locks, sunroof motor, power seats, rear hatch release? How does the clutch feel and does the tranny make any funny noises?

There are a couple/few comparable S2s either on eBay or CL nationally---basically same mileage, give or take the same shape. One is $6500, one is $8K and one is $8500 if I remember correctly---one of them is a cab but not sure which and I just got in from a flight and I'm too tired to look. If it wasn't on the opposite coast I'd give you $5.5K as is and we'd both be happy---you'd double your money in 24hrs and I'd stay in the bottom of my price range instead of the top! LOL!
