Have you checked grounds, fuses, relays? I would look for a loose connection as it sounds like the problem is intermittent?

Yes, I did check fuses and ground, but what relay would control the cluster and sunroof?
Thanks

I had this, and it turned out to be a fuse which didn't look blown, but was. Your fans probably also don't work. I wish I could remember which fuse it was, but it was a couple of years ago.

Replace fuse #18 even if it looks good and check relay #G18.

Cheers,

I had the same problem awhile ago. Cleaning the contacts in the three connectors is a possibility as is cleaning the grounds (four oval-shaped connectors on the cluster circuit board), However, in my case replacing the ignition switch finally solved the problem.

like granpa said--check the relay, swap it with a unit known to work--fixed my problem

Yep, happened to me on a later car. Think it was the X terminal relay. Might have been 15 power relay. Can't remember. The alt light would come on when it happened. It was an airbag car to and that warning light would come after the gauges came back. Water was entering the relay box. Bunches of corrosion under it.

Happened to me a month ago. Same problems. It was the relay G2. There is another relay in panel the same. Switch them out. It worked for me. I bought a couple new spares.
