54k and a spun number two? Are you the original owner? Do you think it was run low on oil? Mine has 150k
a few track days and no problems so far.

Keep oil topped off and pumping properly. This shouldn't have happened. Something unusual was at play here.

For an idea I just bought a running 87 with a true leather interior in very good condition but bad exterior and no records for $700.

The car was previously owned by ShawHart here on rennlist. I don't think he knew that if you drove them hard they can use a little oil in the turbo between changes. He is the one who sold it to MercedesBen here on rennlist. i purchased it from Ben. Just haven't had the time or the money to fix it.

Call Lart, put a used shortblock in it. You can probably do the job for 1500 with new seals and belts. Then sell the car for 5-6k. Barry
