Dont think I would use it on a wastegate, temp and pressure would be cutting a fine line. Believe Copper would be a fix and forget solution. Todd has a ****load of experience, and if he says it will work in that application, THEN I might try it. All the 'Miracle in a Can' bs is batting about 1%. Not saying this isnt as stated, just that the tried and true is 99% effective.
