Default Which Optima Battery?

What is the correct Optima battery for a 951? I tried using a couple configuration tools on the net and none of them gave me an answer. I search here with limited results.
Thanks,
Chuck

Yellow D35 if memory serves and or Red. Yellow is Deep cycle and Red is a Starter battery. Explanations are on the site.

I think out batteries are Group 91, and I guess Optima doesn't have a direct replacement. Anything smaller than Group 91 with adequate amps should work.

How did you tie it down? Any pictures of the setup?

You need to make a bracket, Here is a pick of a red top vertically. Based on memory of complaints D35 yellow is best suited

Next stupid question is red or yellow? I don't expect to do any deep cycling as I don't even listen to the radio in this car. I'm more concerned about cranking it over after sitting for a bit so I would guess the red would be better suited.

Yellow, incase your battery completely drains at least it won't damage the battery like it does with the reds as well as there have been a lot of complaints from 951 community in other threads about red tops dying fast.

I don't know. I found it awhile back trying to figure out which optima to get. I remember having searched all different kinds of wording to find the optima info.

How long have you had it? Has it proved reliable?

How about just going with a lithium battery? https://antigravitybatteries.com/

But in all honesty RUN fast away from Optima.... its latest batteries are not good at all. Go Interstate,o r Walmart Platinum Plus... which are the high end Johnson control Batteries but just branded as Walmart. Same Battery as the Bosch and many others. I do alot of tradeshows.... and the number one complained about battery is absolutely Optima. Best Marketing, worst battery.
