Put some rags in the tail pipe.

hasnt it been established that backpressure is always a bad thing, velocity is what you want in the pipes?

I haven't been around here for a while ... but...

Less Backpressure = quicker spool. Period. No exceptions, no excuses. It doesn't matter if it's a Miata turbo or a Big Cam Cummins. Turbo's hate backpressure... Leaks behind the turbo make no difference. Leaks ahead of the turbo are very, very detrimental. Also be sure you don't have vacuum / boost leaks.

some of you have failed to consider the cyclonic effect of the often overlooked sphister valve.

cyclone - you put that intake I let you borrow in yet? I'd hate for your car to suck in a rock.

If you need a filter for your adapter I've got plenty. Just let me know and we'll swap it out. I'm gonna be getting bodywork done pretty soon so PM me.

There's no arguing about the principles of fluid dynamics, ,ie, if the pressure downstream of the turbo decreases, the energy in the exhaust stream increases. More energy in the exhaust stream = quicker spool = more hp

You can reinvent the wheel if you want, but you can't violate the laws of physics.
