I've spoken with a porsche mechanic (not the one who installed the clutch) and he is leaning towards a problem the the release bearing and/or pressure plate.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll get in to see him until the end of the month and I just can't bring myself to spend yet another summer weekend underneath that car...

I wonder how many hundreds of dollars I could get for it on a trade-in for a new Caymen?
