LOL Max. that shop is only 2 streets away from my house. I met him way back when I was into fieros (Early 90's) For his kit car stuff.

The problem is that I have a $5K paint job on the car - Cost about $3500 (supposed to be $2500) with the "buddy deal" but I can't duplicate it for less than that. And tons of work with the Canards. So removing them and handing them over for a mold just isn't in the cards right now. That is a good suggestion though, and thank you for the info.

The canards could be carefully trimmed and reset. I would be first in line for that front end. Hell, I will make splitters to match!

Let me ask you this, are the front fenders flaired or stock width? I have someone who might be able to accomplish this using a donor front end of a car.

[QUOTE=95ONE;10061860] Billet uprights? - You mean bump steer kit? If so I'd like to see this. Thx. QUOTE]

No, Custom made billet uprights and steel hubs(5 bolt or CL) with a lowered steering point and custom caliper spacing for larger calipers.

The fenders are flared quite a bit. 72" wide. I added the louvers and some other small details. It would be some work to use stock panels, but I think the best way to go. If we lived somewhat close to each other, I would be happy to help you on this project for a new set up. I think it's a worthy endeavor, and I apologize again that I am just not in a good place to make molds. I certainly would if I could.

I know! I was going to write that too, but I wasn't going to offer that kind of information up for you. Schuepbach is also very close at around 3-5 miles from us. That makes the V8 944's very strong here.

Hmm. Must see these.

And in line with this V8 thread, here is a video of Schuepbach's white V8 944 suspension travel that he filmed. I asked him to do it as one of the tests for my new spring plates he has installed. Very bumpy course perfect for testing. Those are 11" rims with 305's. Stock fender width. The real reason I am posting it up is because it captured the V8 exhaust VERY WELL. It sounds fantastic. It's pure music. For those that are curious, you no longer have to wonder what your car might sound like, Here it is. - I suggest jumping to the middle of the video since he is in a slow run group and takes a while before getting to rev it up. the 8:50 and 10:00 mark gives a nice example. Most other spots are painfully slow because of the run group. - For the record, he requested to slower run group on purpose to better monitor the car because of many changes in his set up. He is a very good driver.

Thanks for the reply and I certainly don't expect you to slow down your project for my selfish reasons, but a little prodding sometimes things happen.

I am going to see if I can come up with a tub or front end from a 968 to possibly take this on. I have some talented friends from the automotive industry that will lend a hand. When you have time, send me some detail photos of the repaired clip if you don't mind. jstevens@iscservices.net

Thanks. If I make them, I think they would be very popular with the race crowd.

Man I didnt even know you posted this here

That pesky M3 wouldn't let me pass for laps and it was really frustrating. For the record the tires were 295 wide R6's.

ya he was at my place last weekend, he's been really busy with work and mentioned he hadn't been on rennlist in a while. I'll tell him he's very much missed/wanted.

HELLO! Patrick, I keep forgetting you send your emails to the yahoo account. I have all my gmail account emails routed through my phone and that is what I see on a daily basis. Patrick, please send all emails to bkarger2010@gmail.com -> That goes for anyone that wants to contact me. I usually just give you my phone number on the email to be more personal.

Been catching up on life and fixing a ton of problems with the plasma machine. COLD weather was the one thing that I didn't figure out right away. Don't get much of that in Houston and it creates a ton of water in the lines. (sadly, it took me a while to figure this out) This has screwed up hundred of dollars of Chromolly plate I've been trying to cut! I was pulling my hair out, but I think I have it fixed. New style filters has been implemented, and a better torch head are in the works.

I will renew my Rennlist account and clear out the PM's for any new ones this weekend.

Absolutely nothing has been done to my car in a while. I mocked up the rear wing a while back, but that's about it. No plans to start on it until I get all these T-bar deletes complete, shipped and careful instructions written up. I have many waiting for more, but I will not take any deposits (for a while now) due to the large amount of work I have to get finished first. Thanks to Schuepbach and his testing, we've gotten the updated swing arm design down and possible problems tackled. Alignment, fitment, and durability are fantastic. Right now the biggest hurdle is dealing with the escort cup / Firehawk shocks. Their already tight / no clearance fitment (as evidenced by a few threads on here showing some binding / touching with stock set up) is slightly more exaggerated on my assembly since it sets the wheel base 1/2" longer towards the rear. Doing this 1/2" extension improves dynamic geometry that also helps fix the wheel grinding on the front quarter fender on heavily lowered cars. (In conjunction with corrected/better roll center) BUT... extremely low perches of these style shocks (Escort cups/firehawks) get angled even more into the arm and set it up for unsafe bind at the bottom at the arm. I'm not aware of any problems with actual coil overs (Moton's, Leda's, Penske's, or Kw's. But the fix for the cup suspension is the racers edge bolts and/or using 1-2" shorter springs. (enabling you to keep the same ride height, but raise the lower spring perch about an inch or so, moving the spring and perch up and out of the way for added clearance. ) keep in mind not everyone has the same length spring or binding issues with the cups. just be safe and aware. If you are not sure, take pics and I will advise on the best route. I'm still certain the extra 1/2" length is the way to go, and plan to keep this in the design.

Thank you for everyone's patience. I will have all these new, very stout, updated arms out to everyone who bought the suspension piece - God willing - very shortly for, of course, no charge. 6 of you I think?

Thx.
-Bruce.
