Default HELP: Does a 944 Hood Fit a 951 ???

Iam going to buy a hood from a 1983 944 and put on my 1987 951 with cruise control option, will I have any problems with the hood fitting?

Have him take a pic of the underside of the hood, and one of us can do the same, to ensure re-enforcement veins/et al are the same. Or let senior members like Van tell it like it is.

Other than the front bumper I believe the only other body part that is different are the front fenders.

the hood is the only interchangeable part. headlight doors, headlight surrounds, header panel, fenders, the bumper and bumper structures are all different. make a note to look at them in person next time they're parked next to each other--it's really subtle. +1. And if you want to see something retarded, go look at a car where there are 944 and 951 panels used interchangeably. The panels gaps are horrible.

semi-unintentional hijack: I have a glass hood for sale: fresh guard's red paint: probably coming off my car tomorrow: great fit, has one small 1/4" crack by the front. Paid $600 for the hood, $600 paint/prep work: gorgeous Glasurit paint. Make offer if you're interested.
