Default MAF for 944 Turbo.

Thought I'd check here to see what MAF kit everyone recommends for the 951. Except for a new SFR 3 inch exhaust with cat-delete my car is pretty much stock.

Also, if anyone has a used MAF system that they would like to sell then I'd be interested.

Thanks!

Hey Chris! I have my used Autothority stage II MAF w/chips if you're interested, but I highly recommend you look at M-Tune from Joshua at Rogue. That system really wakes the car up, and driveability is way better than the APE MAF. Plus, Joshua is making constant improvements to his system, and that alone is worth the price of admission.

As much as I'd like to unload my APE, I wouldn't feel right selling it to a Rennlister - especially a local!!

There have been a couple of good deals this year from RL that are going to V8s. I think this one is still around and I am sure there will be other deals this year.

Basically you have three choice for newer MAF systems. do a search, lots of posts on them. They are:

Lindsey setup with MAX chips
Rogue setup
Vitesse setup

How come everyone seems to be going away from Vitesse?

It seems like Vitesse has plenty of customers who track/race, and the products are definitely proven. When I started shopping again a year ago, prices were too high (IMHO), and the word on the street was that Rogue was going to release something that would be well designed and priced well. I waited, and I'm glad I did.

Vitesse pricing has since come down, so that's a bit closer now, but Rogue has some VERY cool things coming out for our cars in the near future in the form of user-tuning and data logging, amd later releases with knock counting and electronic boost control.

Hahaha, Do a search and you'll find many opinions. Both make great stuff and I had an older version of Vitesse on my first 961 in 2006. On my current one I just switched from the LR Quad MAF kit to the Rogue M-Tune.

Lindsey Racing sells the M-Tune as well so that's gotta tell ya something.

Sorry Jon, I though that was sold.

What Jon is selling is a COMPLETE system including new harness, FPR, MAF, injectors, new style SMT8.. etc. Basically a plug and play and if Jon was running it, its in tip top shape.

Rogue setup
Vitesse setup

Lindsey still carries the quad MAF in there main product page. You have to go hunting for the Rogue setup since it is NOT listed on the MAF product lineup.

It's there, they haven't updated the website just yet. It'll be pointless in still selling their Quad-M maf if they've clearly have something more advanced then theirs. I'm guessing they'll make the change over soon.

Buy Techno Duck's setup if you are not partial to M-tune vs. Vitesse. As stated both are great products. Duck is one of the most helpful guys around, I have no doubt if you buy from him you'll get an honest price and a working package.
