Default Recommendations: rebuilding my Single BB Innovative 60-1 HiFi

I had this on my 911 turbo, put 120k miles on it, spooled like a banshee: thinking of placing it on my 944TS with an M-Tune, full 3" (Full), polished-port head.

Anyone know enough about this turbo to recommend/warn of it??

But, need to see who can rebuild it: turbine wheel has a nick in it: dunno how old the nick is: 1 mile or 120miles, so want to rebuild it before I install.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Mark

That can be a very expensive rebuild if you stay with the BB center. Call Evergreen Turbo, Charlie Brown, (800) 275-2531, evergreenturbo@aol.com. He can do some of his magic and the rebuild will not cost you an arm and a leg.

+1. He's done four turbos for my work this year alone and my 27/8 conversion is currently on the bench.

I used a similar (SFR Stage 3) and found the .63 Garrett turbine housing works a LOT better than the replica #8 housing... just saying.

+1. Charlie is a phenomenal resource, great guy, and really puts in a lot of personal effort on the rebuild. He does enough massaging to make them spool like turbos significantly smaller than they are (lightening in the right places, tolerances tighter than production pieces, etc.).

I had the same turbo rebuilt by Comp Turbo Technology seeing that some of the Innovative guys work there and was recommended by Tim at SFR. 909.599.5757
