951 does it again
Today ( Saturday ) PCNSW Motorkhana round 2 (similar to USA Auto X ) ,Sean in his 1986 951( 3.0L twin cam) has won the outright 1st place , conditions were very wet ( raining all day) which made his outright win even more special ,because Sean's 1986 951 has" No" ABS ," No" traction control , "No" all wheel drive , just a 26 year old rear wheel drive front engined Porsche competing against the latest in technology .
I really do not know how he does it ?
What a Porsche , what a driver , what a combination.

Hi Richgreenster , what I meant is that Sean's 951 doesn't have this century " PSM "( Porsche Stability Management ) systems or often referred to as stability control that the other Porsche's Sean competed against , with PSM , the 997 & 987 etc are very much improved in wet conditions .

Thanks guys,
It was a close competition yesterday. Mark B in his 997 c4s got the jump on all of us in the first map and had a 2 second lead into the final 3 maps. Just for some insight our motokhanas are made up of 4 maps. Each map we run twice and all times are accumulated for your final score. Wrong directions or hitting a cone result in a penalty. Each map takes on average 35 seconds to complete.
In the 2nd map we were all very close, top 5 guys within a second of each other, the 3rd map I where we made up quite a lot of time climbing back to be just in front of Mark, following closely was Mark C in his 968 CS.
The last map was the equalizer. My first run was a 39.9, which was slow compared to Mark in his C4S at 38.2. Looks like Mark took the lead. Mark followed that time up with a 38.5. I had a good launch On my last run and pushed the car faster in the turns which resulted in the fastest time of the day of 37.2. Ending the day just in front of Mark B by a second.
The new tyres are pretty good Patrick although anything was better then the bald 2006 toyo RA1s I had been using
