Default Help with this tube on the back of the motor? w/Pics

I noticed a new rattle this week on my 87 951. I traced it to what looks like a dipstick tube on the back side of the motor. It has a bracket that looks to be broken, where it either mounted on the fire wall or the head.

Could anyone tell what this is and maybe how to secure it in place?

Thats the rare factory boost enhancement system. Consider yourself very lucky.

Test port. Likely broken and causing an exhaust leak. Most people unscrew it off the crossover pipe and screw on a factory lug nut which is the same size as the threads on the crossover pipe. Simple fix. No need for the pipe.

Funny how similar things pop up around the same time.
Someone else just asked about this pipe a couple of days ago.

Do not use an aluminium lug on the crossover pipe. It gets hot enough to soften the aluminium and it can come off which then burns up the oil pan gasket above it. I either use a steel lug and weld a top on it or if the crossover is off the car I weld the hole closed.
