Is it a oem seal or a LR seal that fits?

Mine came with a copper gasket from LR, so I'm not sure of it was OEM or not

OEM is a crush ring which won't work with aftermarket pieces. LR sells a copper piece, or you can just go to an auto part store and buy generic exhaust gasket material and cut it to fit.

Yes, mine was installed without the gasket and nearly made the car undriveable from the fumes, took me a long time to track down the problem.
