I picked up a 93 968 last month with the plan to build a 3.1 or 3.3 hybrid stroker turbo. Right now, it's the stock 3.0 with a tiptronic trans which will be converted to a 6 speed manual. Headlights will be one of 2 styles, 993 or in fender mounted with lexan covers, will have 968 flares and a darker color change. New uncracked dash will be installed, manual rack and a bunch of other diets to shed weight but keep factory interior look. This car will be a street car, any ideas and opinions are very welcomed, but please just remember this car will, in the end, be built to my taste, since of course, it's my money Here are some before pics, I will post during pics, and before too long the final pics, Also included is a newly installed gift I bought myself because as of last week, I dropped my last drivetrain from a porsche of the ground on my back .

Good luck, I would love to do something like this one day. May I suggest staying with the original exterior color.

I was looking for a black, or dark color. Do you like the silver? I feel the dark colors in both the 951 and 968 show less, but don't delete some of the body lines and gaps to make it look like a whole better car

A color change isn't what I'd love to do but I think the darker ones look so much better and less dated

Not sure, phone has been MIA all day. It's charging now. I'll check it out in the AM.

I personally don't think you need to go bigger than 3.0 to get more than enough power for the chassis.....

Going with a bigger motor can achieve a lot of the same numbers with lower boost, lower boost, longer life
I'm not really looking for a lot more power than a 3.0' rather equal or a little greater with lower boost.
