Can Bilstein "Escort Cup" rear shocks (PN AK-37354) be rebuilt?
I've got the Escort Cup kit on my car. PO installed it back in 2007. Passenger rear shock seems to have a failed shaft seal.
New shocks at LR are $500/ea. That kinda stings a little. Especially if I figure, if one failed, the other might not be far behind, and I should probably just have BOTH rear shocks gone through. Buying new means $1,000... ouch.
If it CAN be rebuilt - any ideas on costs?
Can these be rebuilt? I called one local shop and they wouldn't give me an answer - said "Bring the whole car in and we'll take a look..." *sigh*

Ya now I just need to track down a set of stock shocks to put in the car for temporary means. Going to trailer the car up to Milwaukee in a couple weeks for a motor swap (I just can't convince myself to spend yet another winter working on my back in the garage) and I don't think it's a good idea to have an un-dampened car on the trailer, bouncing around...

I had Bilstein rebuild and revalve my Escort Cups last winter. Cost about $275 including shipping charges back to me. They'll set them up however you want them to. Really great service and inexpensive to boot.
