WTB: fabcar-like rear GTR quarterpanels
Where to buy the sleeker design rear GTR widebody panels? I'm looking for options other than fabricating the piece myself which will be my last resort..
for some comparison:
this porsche factory 924 leMans GTP design is NOT what i am looking for:
notice the straight-ish connection to the body, and straight outer top edge:
and here notice the straight ending lines almost like it's been made out of plasterboard:
What i am looking for however, was present on fabcar GTRs and incorporates a nice fender curve with a subtle bent lip at the end and the connection to body is smooth (i know it was originally a tubeframe with that element put over it, but i mean the aftermarket element would be smoth in the connection to the body) :
and the rear has a bit more material and rounded inner corners:
AFAIR Gustav (duke) has the piece i am looking for mounted on his car, but i thought others may be interested in the differences and WTB, so i decided to make a thread

Who knows if Fabcar are still around, or anyone that had anything to do with them? Perhaps their molds still exist gathering dust in the far corner of some warehouse?
I think GT Racing make something of the sort. Perhaps you could customise them to your liking. They usually require a fair bit of work to make them fit anyway.

thanks guys for response - i'll try to contact fabcar after holidays,
gt-racing site for some security reasons at my work doesn't open and is replaced with spy/malware warning, but i've checked it elsewhere and to be honest I am a bit upset with the product description...
they write it's based on design of 1981 LeMans car which suggests the option i showed on the white boss gtr and this is not what i am looking for..
still for some reason they have put three images of "the product" out of which at least two if not all three are of different designs to each other:
a) black and white image on a car is the flat "plasterboard" design, like on the boss gtr,
b) black and white product-only photo has the sleek edge similar to what i'm looking for but is mounted perpendicularly to the body instead of a smooth attachment, and has a plain side,
c) the color photo seems to be the same as b) but with the horizontal edge embossed at half the height of the side, yet still mounted straight perpendicular to the body..
the difference between b) and c) might be non-existent and due to shading and reflection differences, but still it would mean one photo does match the description while two other which seem more like photos of the offered product, don't. Of course one can contact them to make sure, but neither of those is the exact product i'm after, and the description-documentation mismatch doesn't make me want to rely on their words.. However I must admit it's this OR I might be simply wrong and maybe it's just the angles that fool my eyes so I don't want to judge anybody.
Dutch944 - if i end up making them by myself I can make an additional pair - no problem.

Anyone knows what wing that is in pic#4? I think it balances the *** of the 944 perfectly.

It would be a Fabcar custom piece. I wonder what sort of lap times they were doing back then and what they raced against?

Three Wheelin'
@Refpotsirk, i'll ask here in the Netherlands at Van Thull Development, they have a big reputation here and have made a lot of 944 fiber parts! They might have something similar in stock!
