Default oil level sender removal

Anyone know if the oil level sending unit can be removed without pulling the motor? Mine is leaking a bit and I want to install a block off plate. Not sure if there is enough wiggle room for removal while the engine is installed in car.

Thanks!

Yes it will definitely come out without pulling the engine. I'm not sure how much you will have to remove - I removed mine while taking the oil pan off, so I had a few things removed already (but the oil pan was still on at this point). It should just be the heat shield, electrical connector and 3 bolts (M5 I think?). Then pull it back carefully until it stops, rotate it upside down, and it will come out.

I wanted to confirm that is was possible to remove with the engine still in car before I started the removal process.
