I have been wanting a LeMans wing for years but am only prepared for a direct bolt on proposition. Definitely not interested in the AIR style that requires sanding, fitting and amateur sheet metal screwing to the hatch frame. Can you have the gelcoat be black? If it fits as well as factory then I am a definite in!

Ok guys. I will have a definite answer Friday as far as time and definite price. To address the questions...
It will be a direct fit or I will not have them produced. There is one available now that requires work to fit so this would be gaining nothing.
I cannot make it farther back without producing another mold which is pricey to make just one or two so not going to do that.
I will ask about the gel coat color. I have not really went into detail about that because I know most people will paint them.
Elliot Grafton will get the first one because he is close enough to pick it up and he can post about the fit and finish to everyone from an outside source. Most everyone knows and trusts him.

On the gel coat color, my vote would be for black like factory.

It's Friday in Georgia! Any updates? (Just thought I would post my enthusiasm for this to come into production)

Ditto! If it bolts up and uses the current side pieces from our rubber tails then I'm in.

Will it have the Porsche Inset detail?

It cannot use the stock side pieces due to the fact that it is much wider down the side. I was at the fiberglass shop today and they are working on a plan to control the attachment part of the lip. Getting the spoiler straightened out, the attachment points spot on and doing it within a reasonable price range is what is being worked on now. As far as gel coat color it can be black but it would be a more shiny black than the stock spoiler. I honestly have no idea what it will weigh but I do know that the GT product is very close to the stock spoiler..

I have a GT-Racing wing on the back of mine currently, so I'll be able to compare the fit/finish quality of the new piece vs. the current wing. Can't wait to see it made!

Thanks Paul for setting up this project!
