I have taken the steps to find a superb fiberglass craftsman and made plans to make molds for the lemans spoiler. I have to decide to make a regular mold which will make 10 to 12 pieces or a production mold that will produce numerous pieces. The fit and finish problems with the available wing are addressed and will be fixed. It will be direct bolt on and ready to sand and paint. The price will still be in the $425 to $450 ballpark but will eliminate the now required body shop work to address the fit issue and finish issue. I would just like to know what kind of interest there is to know how much to invest in the molds. Thanks.

Yes really poor quality like all the stuff they sell. Aftermarket fiberglass needs work to fit, theirs requires more work than most.

I'd be interested. I looked into buying a GT piece but the shipping was deal breaker.

I have a GT splitter on my car. That took a little massaging. Had the vented nose panel but never really liked the way it fit and would have needed too much work to make it acceptable IMO so I sold it. Have their rear bumper and it also took some massaging but fits pretty good now.

I am fortunate enough to have worked with a car builder whos father is one of the best drag car body makers in the world. He made such bodies as Scotty Cannon's 53 Stude and ******. He is very precise. He is the gentleman that will be doing the spoilers. I also learned a very good shipping secret from him today. That will be most useful because of the large size of these.

I had one of these years back made by AIR, it was a sweet piece alright but I could see where the design could be improved quality-wise.

I would be interested. As much as I like the 968 TS spoiler, I don't feel it belongs on the 951. Kinda the same reason I don't install 968 mirrors. I like the fact that this spoiler was the one designed by Porsche Motorsport for the 951. As silly as it sounds, I can justify in my mind that this could have been a factory option available in the day for modification. Hmmmm...now how to get the fiberglass wing rubber coated.....

And what's the result? I guess the original Porsche Motorsport part was designed to produce more down force with more drag? Do you plan any testing of such? Are you offering this as a cosmetic part?

FYI, I am interested. My track 944 n/a has an air dam added to the front, stock rear spoiler and feels light at high speed.

I would assume most people would use it strictly for cosmetic or to emulate the original Porsche Motorsport performance part of more down force & drag. If it it's molded from the original it should be close in performance to the original. I don't think it has to be tested or say for cosmetic purposes only. I personally would be willing to trust that Porsche Motorsport made a well designed part for general improvement in a high performance track environment.
(I think if I were a racer and wasn't willing to accept Porsche's design as a basic track improvement I'd go for a custom adjustable wing anyway.)

I personally have been thinking about this or the 968TS wing, for both cosmetic and performance. I'd be happy to sacrifice some drag for better rear traction on the track. Will it pay off, I'm sure it depends on the track, but I'm not a racer, and I enjoy speed in the turns more than I care about absolute top speed in a straight.
