Anyone near central Mass. can loan me a working DME to rule out if mine is bad?

Default Anyone near central Mass. can loan me a working DME to rule out if mine is bad?
Been struggling with my car for the last 14 months. One issue I am thinking to rule out is the DME. I opened it up last winter to see if I could see any cracked solder with a magnifying glass but no luck. It would be easy to pop in my chipboard and see how my car runs. 1986.

What issues are you having? It might be easier to find someone with a working car to mail your DME to more conclusively test it, also with no risk of damage to their DME - not that I think it would get damaged, but you know some people..

Is it possible to test a DME? Does anybody do this?

Looks like there actually are some places that will test the dme. Ian at 944online is one place.
